LESSON PLAN LESSON: Recording observation about plant growing

Teacher: Bashayer Abdulaziz Subject: science

Grade: 1 Unit: 3 Date: 6-11-2019

SKILLS AND UNDERSTANDING

Students will be able to:

1. Students will be observing plants and record their observation.

Link to prior learning: before the students have made the plants, and today they are going to write
down their observation.

21st Century Skills: Students will be able to enhance the following skills:
1. Critical thinking: teachers’ questions. What do plants need to grow?
2. Communication: teacher will be questioning the students in the model part and the students
will be responding to her.
3. Communications: students will be communicating with their group members while sharing
their observation.
4. productivity and accountability: Students write their observation
5. Computer literacy: smart board by writing, video, PowerPoint matching the word with the
letter.
6. Collaboration: students will be working in groups and share their answers together.
7. Leadership: teacher will pick up a leader from each group.
8. Social skills: students will discuss with each other to find out the answer.

Tr: will give each child a paper that
have 4 boxes.
Tr: will ask then to draw the picture
of a plant and write their
observation.

Tr: will make a recap.


Tr: today we have recorded our
observation. The first plants have
been growing because we had put
soil, water, seeds, and put it outside
on the sun and air. Look at the
second one, it’s with water, it didn’t
grow. The third one had a small
plant without sun. and the last also
has a small plant because it’s Ss will match the word with picture.
