Project Description:
St. Agnes Academy of Caloocan Inc. is a private institution started in May 25,
2011 located in Camarin, Caloocan. It is recognized by the Department of Education
(DepEd). The school offers a K-12 basic education program that offers Academic track
such as General Academic Strand (GAS) as well as Technical Vocational Livelihood
(TVL) track specializes in Home Economics (HE) strand and Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) strand for its senior high school program. Overall,
there are 500 estimated total numbers of students.

In St. Agnes Academy of Caloocan Inc., every subject have one hour per day.
“Chalk and talk” or “lecture and textbooks” are being used and students do not need to
write their lectures in their notebooks. They are using also a projector to show to the
students their lectures or lessons. For quizzes and activities, a teacher dictates the
instructions to the students because they are not allowed to let the student pay for the
test papers, or photocopies because they already have books.

Most problem they are facing using traditional education system is the
communication between admin-teachers-student, because of some barriers and
emergency that suddenly comes and result to not going in school and had no chance to
study their lesson within that day, same with the teachers and admins. The proponents
are already living in electronic-era that is why using Learning Management System can
help students, teacher, and admin to communicate and make learning more effective.
Problem occurs when students feel pressured of the time because time is very limited in
every subject. Also, problem occurs when teachers cannot discuss all the topics
because of the lack of time.
The proponents decided to do a Learning Management System, where students,
teachers, and admin can connect to each other via Internet. The school wants Learning
Management System to lessen the student expenses to buy books because teachers
are allowed to post modules online. Learning Management System helps students and
teachers especially when there is an emergency, for example students or teacher has a
fever. Students can study via online and no need to go in school when they have a
fever, same with the teachers, teacher will make an announcement and just post their
lesson, activities or quizzes for that day online so that his/her student will study and do
the activities. Admins can easily monitor the activities of the students and teachers. The
proponents target students that will use Learning Management System are the Junior
High School to Senior High School because the proponents think these students have
the knowledge and understanding on how to use Internet and electronics. Kindergarten
to Elementary is not allowed to use because their knowledge and understanding in
electronics are appropriate in their age. In additional, Learning Management System
delivers lesson quickly compared to traditional classroom teaching method. Students
will learn quickly, less hassle in studying. These are the benefits of Learning
Management System to students, teachers and admins.

if they learn something.
5. The system will have a progress module to see if there is any improvement at all.
6. This system can separate the section by section to avoid the leakage of the
online exam, quiz or activity.

7. The system will allow the teachers to see the amount of actual time a student
spends working on a course, by estimating how much time they spend logged
into the system.

8. Assessment results are included in the system, which allows the teachers to
determine which students have passed and which have failed.

Delimitations
1. The proposed system does not allow the students to manipulate their records.

2. The proposed system does not include the payment of tuition fee when students
enrolled in Learning Management System.

3. The proposed system is not accessible in mobile phone.
