and leadership
Is prepared and ready for each lesson
Comments:

Students appear to know the position of the ST. they understand that she is to teach them and
familiar to her teaching style.
Activity materials where not all prepared and in place, which made you leave the class to get the
glue from another class. This could lead to a chaos and misbehaviour.

Planning for Learning

Has completed lesson plan for every lesson, printed and available to MST and MCT upon request
Ensures lesson plans have sufficient detail to secure effective delivery
Comments:

Aisha completed her lesson plan ahead of time.

Managing Learning
Selects & implements appropriate positive, punitive & preventive classroom management strategies while
working with students
Comments:

Aisha has shown limited strategies of positive, preventive classroom management such as giving
verbal positive reinforcements.
Aisha was speaking only in English.
Furthermore, children always need clear instructions about what are they doing so they don’t feel
a sense of lost. Next time, you have to give clear instructions to children before each activity.
Furthermore, when you ask the students to write letter N on the board, a boy wrote it upside
down, and you just ignored this fact. Next time, try to make sure that each student understand the
concept you are teaching.
Implementing Learning
Presents material which is accurate, meaningful and accessible to support student engagement and learning
Implements student-centred group work
Communicates effectively when interacting with students
Comments:
Aisha was interacting with the students. She was making conversation, mentoring students.
Aisha was asking questions to facilitate students learning.
Next time try to ask more high order thinking questions.

Assessment
Provides appropriate feedback
Comments:
Aisha assessed students learning by doing an activity.
Reflection on Practice
Reflects on pre-conceived ideas of education and challenges beliefs, as appropriate
Reflects on classroom occurrences and suggests reasons for their occurrence and possible next steps
Comments:
Appropriate reflection on recent teaching experience.
Presents good and accurate ideas for next lesson
