CONCLUSION

The safety in workplace are not easier to handle. Any risk that occurs in workplace
need to be observe, identify, monitor and reduce the risk. There are several steps that need to
be taken in order to identify the potential of hazard that might occur. Based on this case study,
the highest risk level in this experiment is 4 which in category of low risk. It is also considere
as acceptable and does not require further reduction for risk control. After making an
observation throughout the procedure in order to identify the Hazard Identification Risk
Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC), there are several recommendations that need to be
apply in order to decrease the risk of getting harm while conducting the experiment. For
example is, when conducting the experiment, the first one is safe work practice. The person
who conduct the experiment needs to wear hand glove which also includes in wearing proper
personal protective equipment (PPE). The recommendation for hand glove material is the
leather material where it is good for reducing electrical hazard. Also, separate ventilation and
air system and sterilize the micropipette tips strictly. Lastly, establish Safe Work Procedure
using JSA to achieve the safest way to do the job.
