Class 11A-2. Date 22nd of October 2019.

The lesson was mainly focus on the listening skill. In which, it is training the students for the final
exams and as a support, my MST asked me to do this lesson. As a warm up, it was fun to make a
small competition about the lesson, in which they write fast and think as well. Also, discussing it
with them though a question about whether these jobs are available in the UAE or not, made
them ask their selves as well about it, where some of them started to think about their jobs
because of this question. The next stage was the listening stage. I directed them to the listening
task, where they have to listen and answer some questions related to the lesson. they have to
listen carefully to the conversation between four people, each of them describes his jobs and
place they work at, the students needed to think which jobs is attached to which place. This task
was attached to workbook questions, where after they listen to the audio, they have to read the
definitions of new terms in the workbook and match the job with their peers, so after all this we
discussed it as whole class. This task was a good one, because it make them practice their
listening skill and vocabulary as well. It make them aware of what they are listening two and
make them critical think about each term’s definition. As the while stage, the post one was
listening task, where they have to listen again to the audio in order to answer some true or false
questions from their course book. This entire listen was little bit challenging for the students, it
made them conscious all the time in order to answer the questions and then discuss it with
others. However, it is important to train the students in the listening skill from time to time, in
order to improve this skill. In addition, listening lessons make the students thinkers that are
more critical and aware of each line that will be mentioned. Thus, I need to work more in my
timing part, in which, I need to give each listening task the proper time and for the questions to
be discussed as well.
