Copy into a new file the Professional Profile you wrote in Career Action Worksheet 4-2,
Resume Outline. Revise it using the following checklist:
☐ Used industry-relevant keywords.
☐ Strengths are stated in the most concise form.
☐ Strengths are supported by your work experience and qualifications.
☐ Personal Brand Statement is relevant to your Job Objective.
☐ Send your Professional Profile to trusted colleagues, friends, or classmates for
review. Ask if they are easily able to understand it and what suggestions they have
for improvement. Finalize your Professional Profile using their feedback and what
you have learned in this textbook.
☐ Create a LinkedIn account if you don’t have one already (see assignment in
Blackboard) and update the Summary (About) section of your LinkedIn ® profile
with your final Professional Profile.

Ensure that these updates are in the “About Jobs” section of your Career Builder Files.
