EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Assalamualaikum to our lecturer Miss Hani Izzati, firstly I represent my group

want to thank to Miss because had guide us in doing this case study with successful.
Without your help, my group and I cannot finish this case study on time. Regarding
our case study, we choose this business which is Dekmie Satan that is located at
Bandar Jengka. We had interviewed one of the owner and we had a good time with
him as he is friendly and have many knowledge about the business. I hope that Miss
can accept our case study as we put many effort in completing it.

4.1. List of major problem/s:

1. The previous owner use his wife’s Business Registration Certificate and was

followed by the new owner since they are family.

2. The owner does not display a Business Registration Certificate in a convenient

place at the business premises.

3. The owner does not keep any fire extinguishers in its store.

4.2. Alternative solutions to this/these major problems

1. The new owner needs to register Business Registration Certificate on his behalf

or on behalf of the business as soon as possible.

2. The owner needs to display a Business Registration Certificate in a convenient

place at the business premises.

3. The owner needs to keep at least one fire extinguisher in the business premises.

4.3. Evaluation of advantages and disadvatages of each alternative solution

1. Advantages: The new owner does not violate any provision of the Business

Registration Act 1956 and Rules of Business Registration 1957.

Disadvantages: The owner may refuse to follow the laws and regulations since he

only runs the business in a small town.

2. Advantages: The new owner does not violate any provision of the Business

he does not know it is one of his responsibilities as a business premises owner.

3. Advantages: In the event of a fire in business premises, the fire can be

extinguished immediately and the spread of fire can be avoided.

Disadvantages: The owner may refuse to bear the cost of buying a fire

extinguisher.

5.1. Alternative solutions choose to be adopted

The alternatives solutions choose to be adapted is the new owner needs to register

Business Registration Certificate on his behalf or on behalf of the business as soon

as possible.

5.2 Justification of choice

We choose the above alternative because it is unsafe if the authorities know

that he does not transfer the ownership under his name. Besides, the authorities can
take action because he does not follow the rules. Other than that, even the business
is small or big the ownership is still important because if anything happens, the
authorities cannot make contact. After that, business registration is very significant as
it establishes the business as legal entity. Without it, the business cannot legally
considered and will not be protected under any grievance procedures. In addition, it
will not be protected by the jurisdication from any economic, legal or social instability.
