Eulogy
Today, we are here, to remember the passing of our wonderful Tristin Lee Evans. She
suddenly passed away peacefully, one night when she was sleeping.
She was 103 years old, and had a wonderful, long-lived life. She was an amazing friend,
student, classmate, wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She was always there when someone needed
a friend and would drop anything she was doing to help others out. Everyone who knew her, knew
that what ever she would do and say was always weird and silly. She really tried to make fun out of
every situation she was in. She also really loved playing sports. She always talked about her college
years, especially the two years she spent at College of Southern Idaho. Those were the best times of
her life. She met so many amazing people and made memories and friendships that lasted a life time
during those two years. Tristin and the teammates she kept in contact with would always talk and
laugh about the funny stories of when Tristin was doing something that no one understood. She
During her softball career she was successful. She broke the homerun record at CSI and was
later inducted into the CSI hall of fame. She was a two-time NJCAA All-American. These were some
of her proudest accomplishments. She was very proud of herself for the hard work and dedication
she put in to get these accomplishments. Tristin was always such a hard worker in everything that
she did. She always wanted to do her very best and accomplish everything that she possibly could.
This hard work is why she ended up going to Utah State University and pursuing a Doctorate
Degree in communications so she could do research. Her dream job through college was to preform
research in the communication field. She eventually achieved this dream after she received her
degree.
Tristin was always up for adventure and was always willing to try everything and anything
just to experience it. She would always attend various events such as cat, goat, and puppy yoga just
so she could say she experienced it. Her motto was, “what does it hurt to try different things? Even
if you do not like it, at least you tried it and got to experience it!” She would always say this because
people thought she was crazy for doing all that she did.
Family meant absolutely everything to Tristin. She had a fairly big family, which is
something that she always wanted because she came from a small family. The family consisted of
her, her husband Brad, and their 12 children. Her family always did everything together. She really
enjoyed spending time with her kids. Whether that was helping them do homework, watching them
play on the playground, going and getting lunch or a treat, or her favorite which was watching them
play sports. Each of her twelve children played sports. They all played softball or baseball and any
other sport they wanted to play. She coached each of them when they were first learning to play.
Her kids did not always enjoy it because she was sometimes very hard on them, but at the end of
the day they were always appreciative of her for trying to help them and make them better! Anyone
that knew Tristin in the sports world knew that she was very passionate about sports. There was a
time at one of the kid’s games, the umpire made an extremely bad call and she left the stands and
went out onto the field and was in the umpire’s face yelling at him and she ended up getting ejected
from the whole park for the rest of the tournament. This was not the only time that she got in
trouble while watching the kids play sports. She was very dedicated to their sports and always had
their backs.
Even though Tristin is no longer with us, we will always have her silly, fiery personality
with us in our everyday life. All the amazing memories we were able to make with her will still be in
our hearts forever. She will be greatly missed but her sprit and sweet self will always be with us.
