GENN327 Selections of Life Long Skills Week Four – Time Management
Assignment # 1 Weight: 3%
Due Date: Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 pm
Late submission policy: You lose one point for every day delay. If you don’t send your
assignment by Class Six class time, it won’t be graded.

Guidelines:
 This assignment is an individual assignment.
 All assignments will be submitted electronically via E-learning Web-portal -
Faculty of Engineering class page
 Submit your assignment as an MS Word document. Other formats will not be
accepted or graded.
 Each student should submit two files: the activity log (edited PDF file) and the
assignment file.
 Files of the assignment should be saved as follows: your group letter + your
name. For example: Group B Ayman Mamdouh Abdel Kader
 Activity log files should be saved as follows: your group letter + your name +
log. For example: Group B Ayman Mamadouh Abdel Kader - Log
 Violation of any of these requirements will result in deducting 10 points of
your assignment score.
Your Tasks:
1. Go to the following URL and do the Time Management Self Assessment.
Calculate your score.

2. Take a print screen of the completed assessment and the scores and paste
them in the assignment file.
3. Fill out the activity log for three days, including a one-day weekend.
4. After you complete the log, analyze it stating what percentage goes for low,
medium, high priority tasks. Give examples from you log to support your
answer. You may use charts or graphs for better presentation of your ideas.
5. Refer to the self assessment analysis and see if the problems you noticed in the
log analysis have roots in your time management skills. Reflect and relate

6. How do you think you can improve the way you spend your time? Make
suggestions based on the previous analyses.

Create an action plan that you will follow to improve your time management skills

Grading System
Complete all tasks (2 pts each) 12 pts

Complete analysis of the log with percentages 4 pts

Log analysis is supported with examples 3 pts

Reflection and relation on skills and problems 7 pts

Practical suggestions to improve your TM 5 pts

Suggestions are relevant to the problems 3 pts
