the book includes animals that behave like humans and show human
emotions. Fantasy includes mother’s duck talking has a baby duckling name,
Daisy. Daisy does not follow her mother and does not pay attention to her
mother.

The language is appropriate because the story has simple and very short
sentences that children can read easily but it has some difficult words like,
shivered, stirred, and scrambled. The teacher can use CROWD strategies to
makes difficult words easy. For example, ask the children questions or can use
the picture to explain these difficult words.

Come on, Daisy story will make the children excited to read and to know
what happens in the story. Come on, Daisy story delivers adventure to capture
children's interest because it has a lot of different animals, such as fish, frogs,
butterflies, and dragonflies. The colors also attract children to read the story
and the sounds of animals will make the children cheerful to imitating sounds
in the class like the sounds of frogs and duck.

Daisy to stay close to her mother. The moral of the story is that children
should listen to their mother because if they separate from their mother, the
children will get hurt and will be lost. When the children want to go anywhere
they should let their mother know where you are going, in this way your
mother will not worried about you. Distancing CROWD because the children
should stay with their mother and not separate from their mother.

The teacher communicates with the children to know if they understand or


not. The teacher will engage the children's attention to the story by asking
them questions, letting the children communicate, collaborate and critical
thinking with their peers to answer the questions. For example, Why Daisy
didn't go with her mother? Where does daisy go?.

Come on, Daisy story addresses psychology such as children are excited while
the teacher reads the story and they will want to know what will happen to

can use different kinds of questions like open-ended questions and Wh
questions that make the children think. The children could collaborate with
each other to answer the questions that the teacher asks. For example, Why
Monkeys’ are jumping on the bed? What happened to the Monkeys when
they jumped on the bed? CROWD because the teacher is using the “Wh”
questions.

“Five Little Monkeys” story addresses psychology such as children will


be excited and happy when they sing the song of Five Little Monkeys. The
children will have fun listening to the story because it has a song that is
catchy. In addition, the story has a funny ending that the children would

bumped her head. Mother is jumped on the bed after the Monkeys sleep.

The thing that makes this book interesting is that the pictures tell the story,
while the animal’s name is not known, and tell the children to lift the flap
to reveal the animal’s name. Dear Zoo story has flaps that you can lift and
them to reveal the animals. Dear Zoo book is interactive because of the
flaps which make it interesting for the children.

specific skills through reading stories, for example, visual skills by seeing
different animals. In the UAE, teachers can act this story by using
puppets. Children can imagination or thinking of this animal a pet or not
and they can understand more while the teacher acting this story.

Dear Zoo story addresses ethics for example when the author warns us not
to keep dangerous animals. The moral of the Dear Zoo story is that
children should keep a pet animal like a dog because this animal is lovely
and friendly to us.

and recognize them in everyday contexts.

Dear Zoo story addresses creativity, expression, communicates ideas such


as children thinking about how to make animal models. Also, they can
draw animals by using different techniques of visual art like painting and
drawing. The teacher asks the children “Wh” questions to engage the
children and interact with each other. For example, Where do the animals
live? Do you think to keep this pet?. The teacher can also ask the children
about the shapes and colors of containers such as What color of the
container? What shape is the container?. Children can create an animal
mask by using paper plates and craft materials.

● Psychology (emotions)
Dear Zoo story addresses psychology which is that children are going to
be excited to know what is going to be under the box and they will be
guessing what they think is under the container. The children are going to
wonder what animal is going to be perfect for the owner.
Children can imitate the sounds and acting the animals that are in the Dear
Zoo story. Our pets do not live our as at home, they live on our farm.
There was a show in Dubai which was “​Dear Zoo comes to Dubai
theatres”. Dear Zoo, which was presented in the UAE theaters, aims at
participating children and listening to the songs that were presented during
their reading of the story to attract children. ​Children learn the habits of
animals and how they live in the wild. (​All, A. F. 2019).
Potential This book is a very good book that does not need to be changed to suit the
challenges involved children of the UAE.
