PILOT PARACHUTE ASSEMBLY

1. Introduction This parachute assembly is used with MK-INB9, INB9-1, INB9-2


ejection seats fitted with a combined parachute safety harness which is attached to the
ejection seat at three points in Jaguar Aircraft to save the life of aircrew in emergency during
flying as well as ejection.

QUICK RELEASE FITTING

1. Introduction The inertia and impact proof QRF is used to fasten and unfasten the
parachute harness in one action. It works on “turn to unlock” and “press to release” principle.

DUPLEX DROGUE ASSEMBLY

1. Introduction The duplex drogue assembly is used with MK INB9,INB9-1, INB9-2


ejection seats and used to stabilise the ejection seat, keeps the seat in upright position also
pulls the pilot parachute in operation after a emergency escape.

BRAKE PARACHUTE ASSEMBLY

1. Introduction To reduce the landing run of the Jaguar aircraft, to avoid over shooting
from runway and to avoid excessive use of mechanical brakes. The parachute assembly is
designed to operate normally at streaming speed of upto 150 knots. But can be operated at
a speed upto 180 knots in an emergency.
