Profiles offered FINANCIAL OPERATIONS INTERN

Compliance:
The Compliance group, which is an integral part of our global
Financial Operations team, is responsible for
the functions mentioned below:
• Create mechanisms to predict position limits, perceived market
manipulation and prevent trading based on insider and material
nonpublic information.
• Assist in regulatory filing obligations requiring complex
quantitative and qualitative analysis of the firm’s short position

regulations.
• Conduct thorough analysis on the fundamental research data
collected by the trading groups through their interactions with
external industry experts/consultants around various market
sectors to avoid potential trading while in possession of material
non-public information.
• Assist in long-term projects to maintain the firm’s high
standards of compliance with new and existing regulations.

Investor Relations:
The group is responsible for leading market research, managing
investor transactions, and producing various investor and
marketing materials for consumption by investors, prospects,
and senior management.
• Identify prospective investors by targeted marketing research
across geographies using data/text analytics, and create dynamic
visualizations.
• Liaise with various internal teams to gather data and oversee
preparation of marketing materials.
• Maintain and update investors and prospects database while
generating database reports in accordance with requirements of
various stakeholders.
Pricing:
The group is responsible to build valuation models for the firm’s
private businesses.
• Understand firm’s private businesses, research and analyze a
portfolio company’s fundamentals, and perform in-depth
competitor analysis.
• Build a valuation model to incorporate terms of the investment
in the valuation model and adhere to accounting & audit
guidelines.
• Prepare detailed documentation of valuation methodology,
monitor deal inputs & assumptions for their relevance and
facilitate deal reviews by third parties.
Management Reporting:
The group works closely with the senior management of the firm
to provide profit & loss, budget & expense specific reporting and
analytical insights.
• Prepare and provide reports including P&L, capital, returns and
fees, actual vs. budgeted expenses, and year-over-year changes
in expenses with key information highlighted and detailed
commentary on deviations.
• Understand firm’s reporting requirements, changes in the
firm’s business such as expense chargeability to investors and
new funds / businesses, and incorporate these changes into the
reporting infrastructure and report.
• Work with the technology team to build a business intelligence
tool that will enable team to identify key trends, highlight
outliers in an automated way.
• Handle ad-hoc requests from the office of the COO, the Chief
Financial Officer, business unit (BU) heads, and portfolio
managers.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
 The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and results-
oriented and will have robust analytical and problem solving
skills. Candidates should be quick learners, have a high level of
detail orientation, and be able to meet tight deadlines.
 Excellent written and oral communication skills along with
keen interpersonal skills are essential.
