This chapter presents the data gathered and interpretation of findings. The various
results were shown with corresponding discussions and explanations. It also answered
specific problems given in the previous chapter.
The participants expressed different response on why did they chose business to
earn a living. Through the answers of respondents, the researchers come up with four
key points.
1.) No Other Option. Business is seen as the only selection for job opportunities
2.) Situation does not matter. Business is an activity that even at a young age, income
can be earned.
Participant 1(graduate): “First and foremost, to commit your dreams because if you
have money, nothing is impossible under the sun”
5.) To be the Boss. Two out of six respondents stated related reasons on why did they
choose to build their own business. They do not want to play a subordinate role
that is why they decided to be the boss of their own work.
Participant 1(undergraduate): “Kapag may sarili kang business, nasa iyo ang oras
mo. Ikaw ang boss.”
(When you have your own business, you can manage your time. You are the boss)
Participant 3(graduate): “I am tired going to work almost every day and I have a
boss that’s why I decided to build my own”
Undergraduates perception:
Participant 2(graduate): “No, nasa tao ‘yon, nasa kalidad ng tao, passion
nya, nasa skills at attitude.”
(No, it’s up to a person. It is in one’s quality, passion, skills and attitude)
Participant 3(graduate): “No, because all things can be learned and studied.
Learn from experiences and to the persons that surrounds you”
Experiences of College Graduates and Undergraduates in Handling their Own Business
Two undergraduates shared that they have a smooth journey for they did not
suffer any major problems. Their business is profitable. The researchers even observed
that they have a good number of customers.
Participant 2
