Daewoo E&C Wins $1.1 Bil. Power Plant Project in

Algeria

Daewoo Engineering & Construction said on October 25 that it has won a project to build gas-fueled
combined cycle thermal power plants in Algeria at US$1,113 million. The project calls for building
1,200-megawatt power plants (three 400-MW plants) in Cap Djinet, Boumerdes Province, 65 kilometers
east of Algiers, the capital of Algeria.

The project was commissioned by the Algerian Society for Electricity Production (SPE), an affiliate of
the state-owned electricity utility Sonelgaz (National Society for Electricity and Gas).

The length of the construction project is three years and four months, with Daewoo E&C taking charge
of all processes from design, engineering, procurement, construction, and management.

대우건설, 알제리 가스발전소 공사…11억弗 수주

대우건설은 알제리에서 라스 지넷 가스복합발전소 건설공사를 11억1300만달러(약 1조2300억원)에

수주했다고 25일 발표했다.

이번 프로젝트는 알제리의 수도 알제에서 동쪽으로 65㎞ 떨어진 부메르데스주 캅지넷 지역에 1200㎿
급(400㎿급 3기) 발전소를 짓는 공사다.

알제리 전기가스공사인 소넬가즈의 계열사 알제리 전력생산공사에서 발주했다.

공사기간은 3년4개월이고, 대우건설은 설계·구매·시공·관리(EPCM)를 단독으로 수행한다.

이에 앞서 대우건설은 올해 알제리에서 엘 하라시 하천정비 공사(3억5000만달러), 부그줄 신도시 청사

(1억2000만달러) 등 2건의 대형 공사를 수주한 바 있다.
