Preparing and Mixing Cocktails and Non- Alcoholic Concoction (CNC)
(Learning Outcome 1. Prepare and Mix a range of Cocktails)

OBJECTIVES: 1. Identify non-alcoholic beverages modifies in flavoured syrup and edible fruits and
vegetables in mixing non-alcoholic cocktails in accordance with industry standard
classification;

2. Prepare and select edible fruits, vegetables and correct ingredients, appropriate name
And style of non- alcoholic drinks in accordance with customer’s request.

3. Prepare drinks appropriately with the use of correct glasses and garnishes in
accordance and required time frame;

4. Observe occupational health and sanitary practice in mixing non-alcoholic drinks


according to establishment operating procedures.

What do you mean by non-alcoholic drink?


- Is a version of an alcoholic drink made without alcohol, or with the alcohol removed
or reduced to almost zero.
What are the example the non-alcoholic beverages?

a. Raspberry Frost Sodas

Ingredients
1 bottle (64 ounces) cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
2 containers (1/2 gallon each) raspberry sherbet
3 bottles (1 liter each) ginger ale, chilled

Steps
1. Pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice in each of 24 short, wide glasses.
