I have known Mr. Waleed Aslam as a student of Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Institute of Space
Technology, Islamabad for the last two years. I have been associate with him in several core courses like Metals and
Alloys, Heat Treatment & Phase Transformation and Welding & Joining Processes. I understand that Mr. Waleed
Aslam is applying for graduate studies at your department. I would like to recommend him for admission for the
graduate studies at your institute.

Waleed has very good organizational skills. He is able to successfully complete multiple tasks despite deadline
pressure. He has completed several semester projects which speaks for his hard work and strong focus. I found him to
pursue the areas of his interest in a persistent manner. He has generally secured good grades in all his lab work and he
has done substantial practical work in his semesters as well as external projects. He has a broad range of experience
with using a variety of tools and based on this he was selected for a summer internship at Steel Casting & Engineering
Works at Gujranwala.

In addition to academics, Waleed has also been an active participant in extra and co-curricular activities. He has been
executive member of Material Advantage Chapter (MAC) for two years and now he is the President of this chapter.
Waleed has been actively involved in organizing the Twin City Youth Carnival (IYC) and many other activities under
local societies at the campus. He has excellent communication skills and can express himself well in English, both the
verbal and written forms of the language
