College of Education

Program Objectives
In accordance with the pertinent provisions of RA 7722 otherwise known as
“The Highest Education Act of 1994” and to respond to CHEDs Education
Landscape, the College of Teacher Education aims to develop highly
motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and
pedagogy for secondary education.

The objectives of the Education program of the Kolehiyo ng Pantukan


therefore are:

 To produce graduates who will become effective synthesizer of


organized knowledge to allow critical and analytical thinking;
 To breed efficient promoters and facilitators of learning to enable the
learners to develop to the fullest their potential for a continuing pursuit
of self-education;
 To provide avenues for education students to upgrade their
classroom learning by encouraging attendance to symposia,
seminars, for a, lecture-series to better equip them as future
educators;
 To intensify update and strengthen research-related programs and
activities to faculty and students to generate research outputs;
 Demonstrate understanding & mastery of the fundamental knowledge
and skills required for effective professional practice in the field of
specialization;
 Utilize lifelong learning skills in pursuit of personal development and
excellence in professional practice;
 Have advanced their practice or achievement in the field of Education
and/or other endeavor advocacies supported by their acquired
education;
 Strive to be globally competitive through living by the KNP VMG &
practicing continuous quality improvement in their personal lives.
 Apply wide range of teaching process skills including the integration
of modern technology in the identification of modern technology in the
identification of learning outcomes, design and evaluation.
 Demonstrate how to practice the professional and ethical and
requirements of the teaching profession, and
 Recognize the need and prepare to engage in lifelong learning.
