Quarterly Accomplishment Report

June 2016 - August 2016

After the long respite during the school vacation which began on April
15 to June 12, 2016, it’s time once again to get those uniforms and report to
school. SY 2016-2017 opened with the Balik Eskwela Program – a program
to welcome both old & new students to the fold of SPNHS. After the short
program, regular classes went on. Teachers discussed the system of grading
under the K to 12 curriculum on the first two-day orientations. Other topics
include rules and regulations of the school, requirements in passing each
subject and class schedule. The HTs monitored classes and assisted late
enrolees find their section. Meanwhile, preparation for the school’s
anniversary started. Then on July 2, SPNHS celebrated its 45 th Founding
Anniversary with the recognition of Loyalty Awardees serving as highlight,
observation. Of classes by the HTs also commenced in July, At least 15
English classes were observed during this month. In August, the 1 st Periodic
test was administered and submission of grades sheets followed not long
after which HTs signed one by one.

September 2016 – November 2016

Dubbed as Teachers’ Month, in September HTs went on their usual

tasks of checking DLL/Lesson Plans of teachers, holding department
meetings, monitoring and observing classes. After the 2 nd Periodic test,
students had their Semestral Break while teachers attended the In-service
training from October 24 - 28, 2016 with the HTs serving as Resource
Speaker. My topic was about Teachers’ Ethics & Etiquette which I discussed
on the first day of activity.

October 13 is a red-letter day as Sir Ed Cruz celebrated his 65 th birthday

and his last day in service at the same time. On the next day, a welcome
party for the incoming principal – Mrs. Wilma M. Aquino – was held. This
time also served as Turn-over Ceremony for the outgoing and newly installed
principal of this school.

November is known as Book Month and every year, the English

Department celebrates the event by holding several contests such as Jingle
Making, Speech Choir, Battle of Geniuses (Quiz Bee) and COSPLAY. Reading
day for each grade level was also done. All teachers coached select student
from their classes to compete in the above contests. Certificates were
awarded to all winners, participating students and teachers. In addition,
English teachers participated in the Division Book Fest held last November
25 at SPNHS Activity Center.

December 2016 – February 2017

Aside from the continuation of observing classes, preparation for the

coming 3rd Periodic test were being held. Test items were collected and
collated by the Master Teachers. Teachers and students were busy and
excited for the Holiday Season but before the Christmas Vacation, a Get-
together Party for all personnel and teachers of SPNHS was held last
December 21, 2016. When classes opened on January 3, 2017, the 3 rd
Periodic test was administered soon after. Results of exams were carefully
assessed and reported by the MTs. Another DLAC was held with topics like
remediation plans and issues; learning resource materials and IPCRF for
Teachers. Open forum capped the discussions handled by the three (3)
Master Teachers in the department. Then on February 10, five (5) student
trainees from Immaculate Conception Institute of Sta. Maria, successfully
had their final demonstration teaching.

March – April 2017

After the semi finals on March, time seemed to run so fast that
advisers were already accomplishing BPS forms. Meanwhile, on March 20,
the Mandarin Fest sponsored by the SPF Language was held at the Activity
Center. Mrs. Aquino, Principal IV, myself and the program coordinator, Mrs.
Namit and Mandarin teacher, Mrs. Jimenez were present on the occasion.
Songs, dances and recognition of various contest winners in the regional and
national Mandarin competitions was done. Then on March 21-22, the
reading of honors in Grade 9 curriculum was held with myself and Mrs.
Eloida Soriente as Chairpersons classes went on until this time. On March 30
– April 3, the reading of school forms was done with this HT as Chairperson
with the assistance of Mrs. Soriente as Co-chairperson.

But before this, meetings with teacher were held to discuss IPCRF and
many issues related to it. IPCRF were given to teachers to make them ready
and prepared with the evidences needed for each criteria. Then each
teacher rated himself submitting all the various means of verification
required.

April 5 was Recognition day for students with honors. It was held from
7 AM- 12NN. The Moving-Up Program for Grade 10 students was held in the
morning of April 6 at the Sarmiento Gym. Signing of teachers clearance
