Part I: Rationale
Based on the Division Memorandum No.093,s.2022 or the Administration of the Comprehensive Rapid
Literacy Assessment (CRLA) stated that all Grades 1-3 learners must be assessed on March 1-31 either face to
face or online depending on the availability of learner’s gadgets. Also, the Grade 3 – Grade 6 teachers will
administered PHI-IRI to their pupils and the Kindergarten teachers will conduct EGRA.

Based on the Division Memorandum No.093,s.2022 or the Administration of the Comprehensive Rapid
Literacy Assessment (CRLA) stated that all Grades 1-3 learners must be assessed on March 1-31 either face to
face or online depending on the availability of learner’s gadgets.
The Castilla Elementary School Grade 1 to Grade 3 teachers conducted a Comprehension Rapid
Literacy Assessment to their pupils on March 8- March 31 . Kindergarten teachers assessed their pupils
individually. Teachers preferred to conduct the CRLA in face-to-face. Pupils are permitted by their parents or
guardians to go to school to join the said assessment. Following the health protocols, each section teacher
administered the CRLA in their respective rooms. Ma’am Aguilar, a Grade 1 teacher, had assessed 58% of her
learners,76% were full refresher, 5% were moderate refresher and 5%light refresher in Waray language. Ma’am
Valeriano, also a Grade 1 teacher, had assessed 100% of her learners,49% were full refresher, 22% light
refresher and 30% grade ready in Waray language. Ma’am Dacillo, a Grade 2 teacher, had assessed 100% of her
learners, 42% full refresher, 24% light refresher, and 33% grade ready in Waray language ; in Filipino language
is 53% full refresher,. 16% light refresher and 31% grade ready. Ma’am Tayobong,a grade 3 teacher, assessed
100% of her learners, 9%full refresher,6% moderate refresher,26% light refresher and 60% grade ready in
Waray language ; in Filipino language is 6% full refresher , 6% moderate refresher, 26% light refresher and
63% grade ready ; in English language is 9% were full refresher,17% moderate refresher,29% light refresher
and 46% grade ready. Grade 3- 6 teachers administered PHIL-IRI in their respected rooms.
