ABSTRACT
The use of garbage is increasing day by day in present scenario which cause a
serious environmental issue, for this purpose we need to make eco-friendly environment
by recycling possible waste. To solve this issue already exist highly operate machines but
they are too costly so the main purpose of our study is to design and fabrication of cost
implemented which consist some mechanical .This machine is used for cutting the plastic
and other kind of plastics in to small pieces, which are in irregular shaped flakes which
can be processed further recycle recovers the raw material, which helps to make new
recycled products.
Garbage shredder is made up of woods and plastic materials that turns a simple
garbage into pieces for purposes. This product aims to lessen the expenditures of an
individual to buy an expensive garbage shredder machine. The research design used in
this study is experimental where it explains and validates on how a certain product will
function through testing it with the respondents. The chosen respondents are the people
INTRODUCTION
flash floods and etc. One of the causes of these problems is the misbehavior of the people
towards waste management. Some people are reckless in throwing their garbage. They do
not think of the possible results of their actions on the environment as well as on health.
In most of the world, including North America, we do one of two things with our
ordinary garbage: burn it or bury it. Neither one is good for us or for the environment.
Burning garbage in incinerators releases dangerous gases and dust which contribute to
global warming and pollute lakes, forests, oceans and cities half a world away from
where they originated. Most incinerators in industrialized countries now remove large
quantities of particles and pollutants, thus ensuring cleaner air. Burying garbage also
causes both air and water pollution, and simply transporting it to the sites consumes an
increasing amount of valuable fossil fuels, which produces more pollution and other
problems. But people didn’t know that there is another way on how to lessen garbage
including plastic recycling, e-waste recycling, scrap metal, tire recycling, and wood
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
distribution of raw and shredded municipal solid waste has been examined using data
taken from 10 full-scale shredders representative of those used for solid waste size
reduction. The shredded product size thus described has been related to the specific
energy necessary to produce that product by application of the Bond comminution theory
developed for use in the minerals processing industry. The consistency in magnitude of
the Bond work indices determined for the 10 representative full-scale shredders would
seem to confirm the applicability of the Bond theory to the size reduction of municipal
solid waste. Batch shredding tests for paper, glass, flattened steel cans, and whole
aluminum beverage cans, using a Heil model 42D 250-hp vertical hammermill (fitted
with a recording ammeter for current measurement) permitted the estimation of work
indices for these respective solid waste components and provided further verification of
the theory.

Objectives
If the effect is extremely high and therefore proven to have strong effect
on the community, to prove that having a shredder machine can help to lessen or maintain
the cleanliness in Barangay 607 and how the participants can help to achieve the waste
disposal properly.
1. How does garbage shredder help reduce the number of garbage in a community?

study. It explains on how the Garbage Shredder functions and affects the community. The
researchers come up with a survey to collect data on how many respondents helps to
Gathering Data
To show how the data have been gathered, this part include the research
instrument, the respondents of the study, and the procedures in gathering data used by the
researchers to gather data. gathered data through prepared surveys and related literature
and the internet for all of this are reliable sources of information.
Research Instrument
The researchers used a survey form written in English and divided into
two parts namely personal information and the survey questionnaires. There are two
survey questionnaires used: One, for the students; the other for the head coordinators.
For the documentation, cell phone camera was used to capture the respondents while
answering. Only few allowed the researchers to capture their faces, the rest are hidden in
The researchers` respondents for this study are the chosen citizens of
Barangay 607 Zone 61, Sta. Mesa, Manila because their community is capable of
gathering data to create this research. The researchers only chose (10) families consisting
