J. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENT: MOOE

K. EVALUATION RATING:
The conduct of the SSG election in Barretto National High School was generally peaceful
and organized, with the following suggestions:
1. Tally marks should be written on the tally board, or in the case of the Barretto National High
School, on the cartolina where the names of the candidates were written so that they can be posted
in conspicuous places after.
2. During the counting of the ballots, a representative from all the parties should watch the ballots
being read.
3. There should be pre-assigned board of election inspectors (BEI) per class.

L. NARRATIVE REPORT:
At 7:30 am, the Grade 10 Section 1 students, who acted as ComElec Committee, distributed the
ballots to all the class advisers of Grades 7 to 9 who were already waiting in their classrooms. Afterwhich,
the casting of the votes followed. The teachers had the names of all the students present during the election
written on a separate sheet of paper to determine the exact number of voters and the number of unused
ballots to be returned.
During the canvassing, the ballots that were read were being torn instead of a supposed member of
the board of election inspectorate affixing his signature on them for safekeeping in case of protest. Also,
there were classes where it was the teachers/advisers who were reading the ballots while there were other
classes where students were the ones reading them.
Classes resumed immediately after the counting of the ballots.
