1) The two sides of the parallelogram PQRS are 8cm and 6 cm. the height corresponding to the
base RS is 4cm.
Find the

(i) area of the parallelogram

(ii) the height corresponding to the base PS.
2) Find the base of the triangle, if Area = 6.2m² and height = 3.1 m
3) The adjoining figure shows two circles with the same centre. The radius of the larger circle is 10 cm and the radius of
the smaller circle is 4 cm. The radius of a circular pipe is 10 cm. What length of a tape is required to wrap once
around the pipe?

4) A 2.5m wide path runs along the inside boundary of a 75m by 60m park. Find the cost of
gravelling the path at Rs.3.60 per m².

Q6. A lawn 115m long and 64m broad has two cross roads at right angles;
one 2 m wide running parallel to its length and other 2.5m wide running parallel to
its breadth. Find the cost of gravelling the road at Rs.4.60 per m².
