HISTORY OF UNCIANO COLLEGES, INC.

Having established the UNCIANO COLLEGES INC., a 100 bed capacity health care
institution in 1977 at the corner of Guadalcanal St. V. Mapa, Sta Mesa, Manila, our
esteemed founders, Dr. Mirando C. Unciano Sr. and Dr. Natividad V. Unciano,
believed in the need to train more professional and technicians in the different health
related fields or disciplines. This in turn, became a reality by opening the Unciano
School of Nursing at the same site.

The course of X-ray Technology was offered in 1978, followed by Liberal Arts, Pre-
Dentistry, Pre-Nursing, A.B Psychology, Food Technology and Midwifery in 1980,
1981 was a landmark year for the institution wherein the first batch of students at the
colleges of Nursing graduated with degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In
1982, the vision of our founders when it comes to expanding to other health related
fields, become a reality when the College of Dentistry was born.

With multiple courses being offered, the school become known as UNCIANO
PARAMEDICAL COLLEGES, which was eventually changed to its present name of
UNCIANO COLLEGES INC. in 1990.

In early 1990, our founders acquired the building and lot of a large hospital and school
in Circumferential Road, Antipolo City. The said facility was then renovated and
improved to house the UNCIANO MEDICAL CENTER, as well as the UNCIANO
COLLEGES (ANTIPOLO) INC.which opened its doors at the beginning of the school
year 1990-1991. These two institutions stand out not only as imposing landmark in the
City of Antipolo, but as bastion for learning and health care services in the Province of
Rizal as well.

UNCIANO COLLEGES (ANTIPOLO) INC. started by offering Bachelor of Science in

Nursing and Midwifery Course in 1990. In the succeeding years, different courses
were established not only to educate the youth of Antipolo, but also those from the
neighboring towns of Rizal. The year 1991 also saw the opening of the Dental
Technology as well as the Caregiving Course at the Antipolo branch.

During the following years, more courses were offered particularly: Bachelor of
Science in Radiologic Technology (1992), Bachelor of Physical Therapy (1993)
and Preparatory (Nursery, Kindergarten), Elementary as well as Secondary
