ABOUT DOHA
Doha is the capital and most populous city of the State of Qatar. It
has a population of 1,850,000. The city is located on the coast of
the Persian Gulf in the east of the country.

A mix of exposed and hidden footings for columns. Varying levels of footings may reduce effective height of useable space.
Footings are at varying levels between +9.30mQND and The highest Footing was found to be at +12.85m QND. Considering this, the FFL for the proposed

The low lying areas shall be studied further to accommodate rooms that require more headroom.

OBSERVATIONS AT SITE :-
Large exposed HVAC Duct running along Design possibilities will need to be studied to use space below duct(if required).
the Site(as indicated) which is used for -to either duct along the path of the existing duct to proposed AHU
the cooling of the Stadium. -to use the space below existing duct to connect proposed duct to existing AHU room.
Gap in the Duct Layout was noticed on -to use space below duct to provide a connection to the existing Service Corridor in the Basement level (+9.00mQND)
Site. Gap in the Duct cannot be used as IFC Drawings showed that Ducts from GF are to join this duct through these gaps.

OBSERVATIONS AT SITE :-
Cut-Outs in the Ground Floor Slab were observed. These are for Cut-outs observed on the Ground Floor Slab were later found to be proposed for HVAC use (as per IFC Drawings).
HVAC Ducts(as per IFC Drawings) proposed to be connected to the • Cut-out A,C & D were proposed to be used for HVAC as per IFC.
Stadium Cooling Duct. • Cut-out B does not seem to have a use proposed yet(as per C09-JET-D-STA-B-ME-00-F1-1002). Kindly
confirm if QDC can use it, if the need arises as per proposed options.
15
OBSERVATIONS AT SITE :-
Huge Red Pipes were found to be running across the Site between (grids 16 & QDC will need to study options without disturbing the existing pipelines. However, if there arises a
17)emerging from a cut-out on the Ground floor slab, which reduced headroom along its need for re-routing(by bringing them down to the column footing level and taking them to the existing
path. These pipes were found to be ‘Chilled water pipes’ for HVAC(as per IFC Drawings.) AHU), the same shall done only after notifying the Client.

16
OBSERVATIONS AT SITE :-
• Work was in progress for pipes emerging into site through a cut-out. IFC Drawings study showed them to be Drainage pipes,
which are proposed to be connected to the nearest manhole outside the building. QDC will need to study options for re-routing these

OBSERVATIONS AT SITE :-
Current Entry into Basement (not seen in IFC Drawings). Will need confirmation on whether this Entrance to Basement shall be retained or is only temporary

If this entry is to be retained, should confirm if the same is to be considered as an Entry in the
design options to be proposed.

study the available habitable height. (as physically arrived at - Potential FFL for proposed Multipurpose Hall shall be at +13.000QND.

• Beam edges were observed to be chamfered. • Chamfered beam edges will mean ducts or other services cannot be designed to run adjoining the Columns.
