I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, 95-100% of students should be able to attain 75% of
proficiency and are expected to:
A. Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature and
other text types serves as means of preserving unchanging values in a changing world; also
how to use the features of a full-length play, tense, consistency, modals, active and passive
constructions pus direct and indirect speech to enable him/her competently performs in a
full-length play.
B. Performance Standard
The learner competently performs in a full-length play through applying effective
verbal and non-verbal verbal strategies and ICT resources based on the following criteria
focus: Focus, Voice, Delivery and Dramatic Conventions.

F. Application
By group, the teacher will ask the students to transform the given sentences, one at a time, into
active voice or passive voice. The secretary will right the answer on the illustration board and
when the time is already up, each group will raise their illustration boards with answers. The
first given sentence will be explained by the group 1, the second sentence will be by group 2,
and so on. The explanation should include:
 The tense used
 The voice used whether it is an active or passive voice
 How did they transform the sentence into active or passive voice

Students will be graded according to the following criteria:


 Knowledge about the topic - 5 pts.
 Conciseness of report - 3 pts.
 Confidence -2 pts.
10 pts.

The scores of the group in transforming will be added to their grade during the reporting so it
will have a total number of 15 pts.

Each group will pass a ¼ sheet of paper with group number and members.

G. Generalization
Now, class, what have discussed today? Ma’am, we discussed how to transform an
active voice into passive voice and passive
voice into active voice.

And what are rules that we discussed? Ma’am, first, interchange the subject and
direct object. Next, convert the main verb into
its past participle. Then, use the word ‘by’
before the subject in passive sentence. And
lastly, change the tense of the auxiliary verb.
