Emotional Behavioral Disorder

Principal: Good morning everyone. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules. First, I want to introduce
myself (Name) I am the Principal here at Maxwell Academy. I’m here to know what are the needs of Jocelyn Agbas. And
we will make the best of our abilities. Let’s go around the room and introduce each other.

Parent: I’m Mrs. Agbas, Jocelyn’s mom. I really appreciate all of you being here and helping my daughter out so much
for school.

Teacher (Regular): I’m Chabelita, Jocelyn’s teacher. I’m here to share what I’ve observed about Jocelyn’s behavior.

Teacher (SPED): Hi! I’m Florence. I’m the special education teacher and we are going to work together so that she gets
up to the levels of her needs.

Psychologist: I’m Jecil, the Psychologist. I’m here to give advices to the parents and teachers regarding to the issues or
needs of Jocelyn.

Principal: So, ma’am (point to the parent) Kamusta po siya?

Ms. Jecil? (Pointing to Jecil) she’s a psychologist.

Psychologist: So far, ayon sa mga nasabi ni Mrs. Agbas, may simtomas siya na EBD o tinatawag na Emotional and
Behavioral Disorder. Bago tayo magdecide na may Emotional and Behavioral po siya. Tanungin muna natin ang mga
naobserbahan ng kanyang guro.

Principal: Ms. Amit? What can you say or what have you observed about Jocelyn’s behavior inside the classroom?

Teacher (Amit): Hello, I’m the teacher of Jocelyn. What I observed about her is that, she’s really good in art and in
mathematics. But to her behavior, all of sudden she was shouting with no reason and sometimes she expressed
uncontrolled anger and cried out loud when she can’t understand what she doing or the activities I made.

Principal: Thank you Ms. Amit. So now let’s hear from Special Education Teacher for more information. Ms. Caramihan?
What can you say about the parent and teacher observation towards Jocelyn’s behavior?

SpEd Teacher: I have also encountered the same cases with Jocelyn’s behavior. I have a student before who undergone
diagnosis and they found out that she has an Emotional and Behavioral Disorder.

Psychologist: I already listed all the symptoms of Jocelyn therefore I conclude Jocelyn has an Emotional and Behavioral
Disorder.

Principal: Mrs. Agbas what can you say now that you know that Jocelyn has EBD?

Parent: As a mother, I want to know what’s the best thing to do to help her overcome her disorder

Psychologist: I would advice that bring her to the psychiatrist and diagnose her immediately while she’s not in severe.

Parent: Thank you so much for all of your help and advices.

SpEd Teacher: I hope your daughter will have improvement after this IEP meeting

Teacher (Amit): AS her teacher, I will be more patient to understand her and I will do my best provide her needs inside
the classroom.

Principal: Thank you for all of your time and cooperation to conduct this meeting. Mrs. Agbas, we hope that this
meeting helped you and to your daughter. Have a great day everyone
