For the first hour of the day I checked the stocks of the materials in the stock room and had a briefing of
works with manong pong and manong peter. After that I did site inspection, I inspected the finished
backfilling works of the roads. I also checked the new stakes established in the land of garson's bought
by rockgold. The new stakes established has green flags attached while the old stakes have yellow flags
attached. I observed that the new stakes are established 0.3m to 0.5m from the old one, meaning the
resurveyed lot was move a little to the fence wall of garson and rockgold. For the rest of the morning I
had supervision in the works in the guard's house. In this time, the workers began tearing up the flooring
and some side of the walls for the place of electrical lines. The exterior design finish is also almost finish,
Kuya kim told me that it would be finish today. They also started the finish for the window jamb. As for
the instructions of big boss of the creek, in preparation for the construction of riprap, In the afternoon,
the workers started working for the widening and cleaning of the creek. They move boulders to the side
of the creek and stack there, they also remove portion of land. 4 workers work in the creek and 4
workers works in the guard house. The workers started to remove the formworks in the office portion of
the guard house, and left 4 supports in the font portion since that portion is not yet cured enough. They
started removing the formworks in preparation for tomorrow’s work. They would be starting the
revisions big boss has ordered, they would be tearing down portion of the wall for the space of window.
When it’s already 5pm, I told the workers that its already time, but the workers told me that they would
have an overtime in working in the creek, since there is a little work left to do and they would want to
secure the work while the water in the creek is not yet high, it might rain hard in the evening and it
would be hard for them to work in the creek tomorrow. And it is not yet dark, they would finish it easily. I
supervised them until they are finished.

In checking the new stakes establish, manong pong told me that the missing stakes in the site was not
resurveyed, the lot bought was the only one surveyed. The surveyor said that the stakes might be loss
again, just call him when the work needed those stakes. But base on my observations in the joint survey,
i think that the surveyor is just tardy to do the survey. But the surveyor also has point; it would cost the
firm again for the resurvey if ever the stakes went missing again. While supervising the work in the guard
house, I noticed that the upper part design of the exterior design of the comfort room portion is not
even. I talked to manong peter and talked about it, manong peter check it right away, and confirmed that
it was not even. After confirming the uneven design kuya kim, repaired the design right away. When the
chairman visited the site, he told to include window in some part of the guard's house. It was not
included in the design, so the workers will work on the additional given details, they are compelled to
destroy the block layed part of the guard's house to accommodate the additions that the chairman
mentioned. In the works of creek, big boulders are being pulled up, since water runs through the creek,
the boulders are slippery making hard for the workers to stack. Another thing, the creek reeks of bad
odor, the speed of the work are also reduced since they need to breathe out from the creek from time to
time, the creek is also muddy in some part, so when the worker lift up the boulders it is hard to work
because it is slippery even though they are wearing boots. For this problem all they need is a long
patience towards the work since they don’t have any choice but to go the creek and lift the boulders
piece by piece.

In construction there would always be addition of work; there would be repairs and such. You need to
pay attention to every detail to provide satisfactory results, by doing so, we may develop basic patterned
standards, which help us to identify processes for problems and helps us to intervene or solve and
prevent irrevocable impact on the project. We need to account for real-life variability in order to satisfy
our client’s demands. Sometimes in construction we are left with no other options, we need to be
patient towards the work in front of us until it is finish. We need to tolerate things, accept the given
options and work on tin, the prize will follow afterwards.
