 The technical specifications of the MA408 meets the standards for residential utility metering with
Class C performance, operational temperature from 0.1°C to 60°C and safety temperature up to
85°C, as well as nominal pressure of 1.6MPa.

 MA408 offers the most advanced water flow measurement by using state-of-the-art ultrasonic
technology. The flow sensor does not have any moving parts, which provides a robust and accurate
meter with no maintenance required.

 MA408 Residential Ultrasonic Water Meter is specially designed for domestic water metering applications
where conventional water meters fail due to harsh environment, solids in water, performance
degradation, magnetic vandalization and are incapable of leakage detection.

 The wide dynamic range allows flow rate up to double the rating, thereby ensuring high
operation security. The large LCD can display the total flow, leakage alarm, reverse flow, and
more. The meter also has a remote readout which could be configured as Encoder or RF
wireless.

 MA408 Residential Ultrasonic Water Meter stands out among its competitors due to its robust
performance, advanced sensor design, tamper-proof features, multiple AMR / AMI options
and capability to detect very low flowrates. It works reliably even when the water has particles
and the environment is harsh, such as the case in Middle East and Africa. Residential
installations can profit from the advantage of the wear-free water flow measurement,
including precision, operation security and long service life.

Automatic Meter Reading
 The MA408 series water meter offers a variety of interface options,such as Sigfox, NB-IOT/GPRS,
LoRaWAN communication solution, and is flexible to integration with KAIFA AMI system

 KAIFA metering solution also offers a complete range of AMR/AMI solutions as well as an integrated
billingsystem. The KAIFA system is a cutting edge fixed automatic meter reading system which
integrates the latest IOT AMR/AMI technologies. The system provides a unified platform for meter
reading and data management. In addition, it works seamlessly with KAIFA Metering’s billing
software to make data exchange easy,fast and reliable.

 KAIFA’s Metering system include HES, MDMS including, payment system, billing system, Vending
system and so on.

 KAIFA’s Metering system is designed for flexible network solution and low power application. and
always send downlink data to meter (UNTIL) AFTER receiving the uplink data from meter"

 KAIFA’s system brings benefit to utility due to:

 Reduce cash flow cycle by reducing time for reading meters;
 Better control of default payers due to remote valve control and possibility to implement
prepayment;
 OPEX reduction due to automatic remote reading and connection / disconnection;
 Losses reduction due to long time accuracy and alarms for abnormal events (leakage,
tamper);
 CAPEX reduction due to extended meter life time;
 Unified management of clients’ data with more granularity.
