School of Science, Hyderabad
The School of Sciences at GITAM Hyderabad has an energetic community of
teachers, who sturdily consider that learning is a continuous process. They are
dynamic and highly passionate about imparting the best quality of education,
stressing both on knowledge and values. A very good research culture has
been established in GITAM campus with around 20 scholars working in basic
science projects as part of their Ph. D. programme. The infrastructure
available in the school for all-round learning is amongst the best. Apart from
well-equipped laboratories, ICT enabled classrooms, library and state-of-the-
art computer centre, GITAM has career guidance, placement and counselling
centre catering to overall intellectual, social as well as stable growth and
development of young minds.
About the Department
The department of Mathematics was established during the academic year
2009 as part of B.Tech / B.Sc / MBA / M.Tech programs. The department has
22 faculty members with doctorate degree. Research is the major strength of
the department with a sharp focus on thrust areas such as fluid dynamics,
mathematical modeling, algebra and statistics. The faculty members are
actively involved in research and have published more than 400 research
papers.

master level students working in the area of Fluid Dynamics.

Registration fee includes working lunch on the days of workshop. Travel,
boarding and lodging expenses will have to be borne by the participant. On
prior request hostel accommodation can be arranged at nominal rates. The
