46th Foundation Day of Our

Beloved SJNHS
Foundation day, the most awaited and the grandiose occasion celebrated in school. It is the
time to commemorate the birth of the school. There is a great deal of rushed activities, boundless
excitement and anticipation that awaits the participants for the event. The 46th Foundation Day of
SJNHS Celebration was come happily and peacefully with a theme: “Conquering Challenges, Breaking
Boundaries, and Sustaining Excellence”. In celebrating the Foundation Day, memorable experiences have
come up better and became remarkable.

Before celebrating the 46th Birthday of SJNHS, the SJNHS students give their full cooperation
in preparing for the upcoming foundation day. Preparations start much ahead of time. Long rehearsals
are done to master the pieces to be presented, if not showcased in perfection. The highlight of the event
is the coronation of the King and Queen of San Jose National High School.

The foundation day was divided into two days. On January 22, 2020, normally the program
starts with a thanksgiving mass and that was led by Fr. Jerson Hostiñani. An opening program that
started 10 o-clock in the morning, then, the undiscovered talents of Josenians in each level are
commenced and appreciations are announced afterwards.

On January 23, 2020, it was the birthday of our beloved school, the San Jose National High
School. The students, teachers, faculties and staffs had their parade where they were happily taking
pictures as a remembrance of their presence at the place of a birthday celebration. The parade was
accompanied by the SJNHS Drum and Lyre Corp. Together with the hired PCPGMHS Drum and Lyre Corp.
from San Agustin, Talibon, Bohol. After the parade, the students quickly move and go to their respective
places in preparation for the Mass Dance Competition. Subsequent to all performances, the lunch break
was given.

The coronation program started at exactly 1:32 o-clock in the afternoon. All King and Queen
candidates presented their production number. Followed by, the top 11 candidates dance number with
the Korean inspired outfit and dance song, namely: "I am the Best" by 2ne1 and "Boy with Luv" by BTS.
Thereafter, the speeches from the honorable guests follows. And for the final show, the top 11
candidates with their dashing, elegant and stunning attires. There were 2 guests who serenade the
candidates and the Closing Remark was given afterwards. Right after the program was closed, those who
were assigned to the after care took in the place.

Foundation Day is an occasion to remember, acknowledge our own moment in history, and
envision the future with hope and fidelity.
