FRESHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Sikkim Manipal Institute Of Technology, hosted a grand Fresher’s Day party

on 25 of August, 2017.The party manifested youth and enthusiasm at its full flow.
With pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot tapping music, the party began with a
blast. The dress code was formals for the boys and saree for the girls. Joy and
happiness could be seen in students of each and every course at the college. They
were having the time of their lives. Inquisitive about campus life and conscious of the
latest fashion trends, the freshers dressed their best. The party scripts the beginning of
hard work & fun the students would be paging through for the coming years at the
college. Freshers’ party is all about making the best start to the new academic year. A
time to create everlasting relationships with each other. The event is an indication of
union among the students. Unity is strength as taught by the Great Mahatma Gandhi.
Being a part of the Freshers’ Day program made me feel the magic of unity and
togetherness.

Rinchin Dorjee from B.Tech 1st year, section ‘E’ and Rudrani Bahurupi from B.Tech 1st
year, section ‘I’ were selected as Mr. Freshers’ and Miss Freshers’ respectively. The
competition was very tough but both of them proved themselves to be worthy of the title
awarded to them. Both of them are my friends and I am immensely proud and happy of
them. The dinner was the best part of the evening. After the ladies were done with their
dinner the men dived in. The food was exceptional and the night was a one to
remember. The party was well organized and well managed by the 2 nd year students. It
was a really good start to a really wonderful year.
