Activity guidelines and evaluation rubric – Task 2:Writing
Production

1. Activity description

Type of the activity: Group - Collaborative


Evaluation moment : Intermediate at Unit 1
Activity higher score: 90 grades
Activity starting date: Activity deadline: viernes, 13 de

In this activity, it is expected to achieve the following learning
results:

The student writes a letter in English describing his/her occupation,


using the topics studied in unit 1 & 2 and following the given
instructions.

The activity lies in two steps:


Step 1 – Individual activity

2.3. Check the content of Units 1 & 2 from the E-book.


2.4. Read the questions given in the forum.
2.5. Choose one topic according to your reality: study/work.
2.6. Answer the questions and publish them in the forum.

Example of questions:

 Do you get on well with your colleagues?
STUDY:

 Do you get along with your classmates?

2.7. Check your classmates’ answers and make 2 comments about their
work. Include information that needs to be considered, point out
mistakes.
A comment is not to write a compliment, not just saying “good
work”, this won’t be graded as a comment.

Step 2 – Collaborative activity

2.1. Choose your role for the collaborative activity.


2.2. The group chooses one of the jobs stated in the individual section.
2.8. The group must write a letter where each student completes one
paragraph.

Paragraph 3: Describing reasons for having this occupation.
Paragraph 4: Describing your skills and weaknesses.
Paragraph 5: Answer to the question: If you could do any kind
of job, what would you like to be?

2.9. Organize the activity in a PDF document with all the evidences
from individual and collaborative steps and upload it through the
Evaluation Environment.

Don’t forget to include a title for your text.

To develop this activity, consider:


At initial information environment, you must: Check the agenda for the
initial and final dates of the task.

At evaluation environment, you must: Submit the final work (only one
written work per group), in the Task 2 - Writing Production - Evaluation
rubric and activity submission which is a Turnitin tool. Turnitin is a
computer tool that identifies the level of similarity of documents,
contributes to the development of writing processes and in turn,
encourages critical thinking and autonomous learning which are central
aspects within the Unadist Pedagogical Model.

At learning environment, you must: Study the topics in Unit 1 & Unit 2
(Module 1 to 4).
Enter to the forum and participate in the development of the
collaborative activity.

Individual work evidences:


The individual evidences to submit are: answers to the questions
proposed in the forum.

Group work evidences


The groupal work evidences to submit are: PDF document with the
following information:
1. First page: Cover (complete names, IDs and Date)
2. Text written by the group.
3. Comments made to the classmates
4. General guidelines for the development of the evidence to
submit

following guidelines

 Every member of the group must participate with academic’s


contributions in the activity development.

 Every group must choose a member (just one) who is the one in
charge to submit the required paperwork in the space assigned
by the teacher in charge.

 Before delivering the requested product, all the requirements


indicated in this activity guide must be checked.

 Only the members of the group that have participated with


contributions during the time earmarked for the activity must be
included as authors of the submitted work.

Take into account that all individual or group written work must fulfil
with the orthographic rules and presentation conditions that have been
defined.
Concerning the use of references, consider that the requested work in
this activity must fulfil with the standards APA

In any case, the standards of reference must be complied. Academic


plagiarism must be avoided. Students can support the written
products by using the Turnitin tool found on the virtual campus.

Consider that in the agreement 029 of December 13, 2013, article 99,
it is considered as offenses that undermine the academic order,
among others, the following: literal e) “Plagiarism, that is, submitting
as of its own authorship the all or part of a work, document or
invention made by another person.
It also implies the use of quotes or false references, or proposing
quotes where there is no match between it and the reference ”and
literal f) “Reproducing or copying for profit, educational materials or
results of research products, which have intellectual rights reserved
for the University.

The academic sanctions the student will face are the following:

a) In cases of academic fraud demonstrated in the respective


academic work or evaluation, the grade that will be imposed will be
zero points without prejudice to the corresponding disciplinary
sanction.
b) In cases related to plagiarism demonstrated in the academic work
whatever its nature, the qualification that will be imposed will be
zero points, without prejudice to the corresponding disciplinary
sanction.
