CAA Indigo CADET PILOT PROGRAM

Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA) and IndiGo have


partnered to launch the Cadet Pilot Program (CPP) to
source their Junior Flying Of cers (JFOs).. This program
is designed to train aspiring pilots selected by IndiGo to
attain their Commercial Pilot's Licence (CPL-MEIR) and
A320 Type Rating.

Course Outline
The CAA IndiGo CPP caters to individuals with no previous ying
experience, and who would like to make their careers as a pilot with
IndiGo. This program consists of Ground School training to appear for the
DGCA and WPC exams, Flying and Type Rating training for the cadets
over a comprehensive full-time 20-month Program which includes DGCA
documentation and endorsements

Overview of Chimes Aviation Academy


Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA) is one of the leading aviation training
academies in India. Approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation
(DGCA) and established in June 2008, the Flying School of CAA was
launched in Dhana, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh to provide comprehensive and
state-of-the-art ying training for aspiring students and ying enthusiasts.

CAA assists all students with DGCA related paperwork and documentation

CAA provides an on-campus complete air-conditioned boarding and lodging


Hostel for 100 students

CAA has IT-enabled Classrooms for our Ground School, with quali ed
Ground School Instructors

CAA uses Flight Logger Software to digitize the Flying Training operations.

Cadet Selection and Assessment Process

The Cadet Selection and Assessment Process for the


CAA IndiGo CP Program is as follows:

ELIGIBILITY
Age Must be between 18 and 32 years of age as on
31st March 2020.

Education & English Fluent in English (verbal and written)


language Minimum Education Quali cation: 10+2 with
minimum score of 51% / Grade Point 6 / Grade C1
Individually in each subject i.e. Physics /
Mathematics / English or a Higher Degree that
includes these subjects with minimum passing
score of 51%.

An Engineering Graduate with an aggregate score


of 51 % or more, (the eligibility criterion of 12th
with 51% except in English can be overlooked).

Age Must be between 18 and 32 years of age.

Medical Able to obtain and maintain Indian DGCA Class 1


Medical Certi cate.

Passport Have a valid Indian passport and the unrestricted


right to live and work in India, with the ability to
travel unrestricted worldwide

Background & Selection Able to produce a Criminal Record Check (CRC)


Basic Disclosure Certi cate and pass all IndiGo and
CAA referencing checks

Funding Must have access to the full funding required for


this course

Candidates who have cleared DGCA written exams will not be given
any advantage/preference/priority at selections or during
CPL ight training.

Assessment & Selection

The Cadet Pilot Program selections will be conducted in different stages


as given below. Training partners will review applications and advise the
eligibility status to assess whether the eligibility criteria for IndiGo cadet
pilot training program are met. Eligible candidates will be invited to
Chimes and IndiGo assessment centres for selections.

Selection Process Once the application is selected, applicants are
required to be present to appear for the following

Compass Tests - Quantitative, Logical


Reasoning and Psychometric
CAA Team Group Discussion
CAA Team Personal Interview

The Chimes Team will not IndiGo Personal Interview
be a part of the panel for
this stage. The Group
Activity and Interview will
be conducted by IndiGo HR,
IndiGo I y and IndiGo
Flight Operations only.

CAA will share the results with the Candidates by end of the 5th day
after the last day of selection process for a particular batch excluding
Saturday and Sunday by the IndiGo Team.

The Final selected list after the full selection process will be informed by
CAA with the complete enrolment process and starting date which will be
within 2 months of the signing of the IndiGo LOI.

The Candidates who are not successful in the selection process will be
briefed by the Chimes Aviation Academy team regarding a 2nd attempt.
This will be in accordance with IndiGo's Guidelines.

CAA Indigo CPP Fee:

The program Fee: The all inclusive CAA IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program Fee is
INR 82,50,000 .00 (Rupees eighty two lakhs fty thousand only). The
Fee will be payable in 4 (Four) installments over a period of 14 (fourteen)
months from the date of Cadet enrollment con rmation for the CPP
Program.

The CAA IndiGo CPP Program will cover the following during the period
the Program
1. All DGCA, WPC, Medical, Regulatory paperwork and clearances
2. Boarding and Lodging in clean and high quality facilities for the full
period of the CPP Program
3. All Program related conveyance and transportation will also be
covered by CAA
4. All Flying related uniforms and accessories
5. Ground Classes for the Aviation Meteorology, Air Navigation, Air
Regulations, Technical General, Technical Specifics (ME), Technical
Specifics (SE) and Theory and Practical for Radio Telephony
6. Flying Training Classes of 180 hours on the Cessna 172 single engine
aircraft, 20 hours on the Diamond DA42 Multi Engine aircraft and 30
hours of Simulator Training
7. Type Rating at IndiGo approved TRTO Partner(s) in India or overseas.
This is based on the TRTO capacity availability when the Cadet finishes
their Flying Hours
