I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:

 analyze the proper usage of modals expressing ability
 reflect about the different abilities they possess
 perform tasks in relation to the song’s message

your abilities by choosing one picture
which is related to your talent.

I chose the guitar because I can play it.

Amazing talents grade 9! Do not be afraid to
share it to the world. Before we start our lesson,
these are our learning objectives that we need to
meet during and after our discussion this
afternoon.
I chose the microphone because I can sing.
I also chose the microphone because I can host
events.
I chose the colour palette because I can paint.
I chose this picture of a paper pad and pencil
because I can sketch.
I chose this pen and paper because I can write
stories, poems, and other literary texts.
I chose the music and stage because
I can act dance and I love it.

What is the message of the song?
Very well said! You really understood the song.
I have gifts in me. The song is about realizing that
we have a lot of gifts from above. There’s so
much to be thankful for. Life is beautiful.
“I Can” expresses our will power to create a
dream and to share happiness to each and every
one.

For the last group, group 4, you need to draw a

symbolism for the message of the song
“I Can”.
