Impromptu Speech from You Tube.
 Take note of what makes the speaker deliver his/her
speech well.
 Let them present their observation to the class.

1. What are the two types of speech?
(Extemporaneous and Impromptu)
2. What is an extemporaneous speech?
(-is an unmemorized speech given from notes or

3. What is an Impromptu?

readiness,” is applied to speech given, a poem
recited, or a song sung without advance notice

extemporaneous and impromptu speech.
1. Decide quickly what your one message will
be.
2. Do not try to memorize what you will say.
3. Start off strong and with confidence.
4. Decide on your transitions from one point to
the other.
5. Maintain eye contact with the audience.
6. Occasionally throw in an off-the-cuff remark.
7. Finally, have a good conclusion.
 Let the students watch another video of a well-
delivered speech. Let them evaluate the video by
using the checklist below.
