IV. PROCEDURE
A. Approach Inquiry Based Learning. In this approach, the teacher guides students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving
skills. To learn these skills, the teacher helps students think through their processes, teaches them possible approaches,
and encourages them to try various methods. Students are encouraged to fail as a part of the process and then
improve their performance in subsequent activities.
B. Strategy Classroom Technology. This strategy can be used at any level or year of education because students get excited when

they must experience something new for the first time. Video lessons, virtual trips in geography or history class,
animations to help kids learn basic skills, and many more adapt to this teaching strategy. Moreover, smart whiteboards,
projectors should be used in classrooms.
C. Method Interactive or Participative Method. The teacher’s responsibility is to explain the key points or the importance of
following the interactive or participating method during class in general so that students may not resist following it.

Checking of Attendance
Recall of Past Lesson (Dangling and Misplaced Modifier)
Activating Prior Knowledge (5 minutes) Ask the students to list different pronouns as they can think of in 1
minute (Mentimeter).

A pronoun is a word that can replace a noun in a sentence. The noun

that is replaced by a pronoun is called an antecedent.

"The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, He shall teach you all things..." the word He is a pronoun
that replaces the noun The Holy Ghost.

There are different types of pronouns, but we are going to focus

mainly on these two: Intensive and Reflexive Pronouns.
Motivation Write down all the pronouns that you heard from the song.
(5 minutes) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9zPv4HGGUY
Presentation Myself, ourselves, himself, herself are pronouns --- it can either be
(1 minute) reflexive or intensive pronouns depending on the use.
4.Discussion Reflexive Pronoun Examples:
(15 minutes)  Myself, yourself, itself, herself, himself, ourselves, themselves
Intensive Pronoun Examples:
 Myself, yourself, herself, himself, itself, ourselves, themselves

How do they differ? How do we identify intesive pronoun from

reflexive pronoun?

A reflexive pronoun is a pronoun used as an object of a verb that refers

to the same person or thing as the subject of the verb.

 Cynthia pours a cup of tea for herself every morning.

 You sent yourself another Valentine’s Day Card, didn’t you?

Intensive pronouns refer to the subject to add emphasis. Intensive

pronouns are identical in appearance to reflexive pronouns.

 Maria knew that she herself could make a positive impact

on the world, if only she put her mind to it.
 You yourself can easily transform your body: All it takes is
a proper diet and plenty of exercise.

Intensive pronouns are used to add emphasis to the subject or

antecedent of the sentence. Intensive pronouns look the same as
reflexive pronouns, but they are only used for emphasis. The same is
not true of reflexive pronouns, which do cause a change in meaning
when removed from a sentence. Reflexive pronouns are used
to specify that the subject is doing something by or to itself.

5.Analysis (10 minutes)
Analyze whether the pronoun is used as a reflexive or intensive
pronoun in the sentence.

 I was in a hurry, so I washed the car myself. Intensive

 We went to see the woman herself perform. Intensive
 She bought herself a new purse for her new job. Reflexive
 The author approved the book cover himself. Intensive
 She spoke to herself in front of the mirror. Reflexive

Differentiate Reflexive Pronoun from Intensive Pronoun:

 Sela made herself coffee.

 Sela made coffee for the visitor herself.

Without the reflexive pronoun herself in the first example, it would be

impossible for the reader to know who Sela made coffee for. The
reflexive pronoun is used as an object of the verb or the receiver of
the action. In the second example, the pronoun is used as an intensive
pronoun. Even without the pronoun, the reader would be able to
emphasize who made the coffee for the visitor and the reader would
still be able to understand the sentence’s complete meaning.
6.Generalization
(5 minutes)  A pronoun is a word that can replace a noun in a sentence.
 Types of Pronouns: Intensive and Reflexive pronouns.
 Intensive pronouns are used for emphasis; while,
 Reflexive pronouns refer to actions that people perform on
themselves.
7.Application Write or compose a one sentence reflection from the passage using
(5 minute) either reflexive or intensive pronouns.

"The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all thing to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26
8. IFVL (2 minutes) “For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my
sheep and will seek them out.” – Ezekiel 34:11

An intensive pronoun is not necessary in the sentence. It does not give

us any new information. You could take out an intensive pronoun
from a sentence, and the sentence would still make sense.

But, in this verse, the Lord wants us to understand, and he wants to

emphasize to us that the Lord, himself, and no one else will seek those
who are lost. He will rescue them and bring them home just like the
shepherd who lost his sheep in Luke 15:3-7.
