PESTLE ANALYSIS – KHAIRY JAMALUDIN

PEST analysis stands for Political, Economic, Social, and Technological and use for

analyze and evaluate the external factors about something. In context to this

assignment, the PEST criteria are focused on our focal brand which is Khairy

Jamaluddin (KJ).

Political

KJ's political career began late in 2001 when he married the daughter of the then

Deputy Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Hj Ahmad Badawi and successively put KJ as a

senior advisor to Tun Abdullah.

For KJ, he not only has the family background and even his elite education also has

higher ambitions. He was not shy to express his ideas and taught, for example he has

been widely quoted as saying that he wants to become prime minister before the age of

40 years. Today, his position in UMNO and Barisan Nasional can be considered as

unshakable. As a Chief of Youth (UMNO) and Sports Minister, he has a strong position

in the hierarchy of the government. We personally saw the both combination had given

perfect power and advantages to KJ.

In an undeniably political situation nowadays, KJ seen got a solid position. The

approach taken by KJ seen accepted to all parties regardless of political ideology,

religion, and race. KJ was able to unify the youth through various programs created by

him and his position.

As a conclusion from observations, studies, interviews and expert views, KJ was

successfully positioning himself in a well place in the national political arena.

Economic
Social

Today, many people know that KJ send his children to the normal public school when

the most public officials of the government, including the minister himself surreptitiously

sending their children to elite private school. Apart from that, he himself joined the Royal

Malay Force (RAMD). This symbolizes of his spirit and value toward his nation.
