Course Title: Physical Fitness


Course Code: Physical Education 1
Course Description: This course is a physical fitness program intended to equip students with the knowledge of a systematic approach of
improving and maintaining the level of fitness and wellness in their daily lives by adopting and maintaining healthy
lifestyles. It also covers self-testing and developmental activities pertinent to the physical fitness.
Course Credits: 2 units
Lecture: None Laboratory: 2 hours
Contact Hours per 2 hours

Prerequisite: None
Course Outcome: At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. demonstrate competency in motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities,
2. demonstrate understanding of movement, fitness and nutrition concepts, principles, and strategies as they apply to
the learning and performance of fitness activities,
3. participate regularly in physical activity,
4. achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness,
5. exhibit responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity settings,
