A Walk To Remember

This movie tells us the story of a man and a woman who fell in love because of an
unique event. Although their love did not get a positive response from destiny, but they still
chose to be together untill the end.

The film begins with the story of a young man named Landon Carter (Shane West)
and his friends who want to do a habit in their group to a man named Clay Ghepardt who
wants to join their group . They told Clay to jump into a pond in a factory, and Landon told
Clay, that he would jump with him. Finally Clay jumped, but apparently Landon did not jump
with him. Clay who jumped was in accident. Landon’ friends who saw this then ran away
because they were caught by factory guards. Landon who also tried to escape because he hit a
wall. The next day, landon got some punishments from his headmaster. Some of the
punishments are cleaning the room after school, teachig lessons to his juniors, and
participating in theater performances.

After a few days serving his punisments, landon began to change for the better.The
one who made him change was a girl named Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore). Jamie is a
woman who is a Landon partner in theater performances. At first Landon felt ashamed of
being friends with Jamie, who was a priest’s daughter and a geeky girl. But somehow
because of Jamie, Landon tried to serve his punishments well. And until one day, Landon
realized that he had fallen in love with Jamie. Finally Landon told Jamie about his feelings,
but jamie refused, because in the past Landon had promised not to fall in love with Jamie.
Jamie, who rejected Landons’s feelings, has a blood cancer that makes her feel guilty if their
relationship continues. Finally jamie told Landon that he had the disease. Landon felt sad
knowing that and tried to ask his father, who was a doctor, to help him, even though he had a
bad reletionship with his father. But apparently the disease can not be cured. However
Landon did not feel hopeless, he kept trying to make Jamie happy. Some of the things he
does, is make a telescope for Jamie who wants to see a comet. After that Landon asked Jamie
to marry him.
