Introduction

Inventory represents one of the most important assets of a business because the
turn over of inventory represents one of the primary sources of revenue generation and
subsequent earnings for the company’s shareholders .A school inventory also works
just like a business inventory. The only difference between the two simple inventory is
the location where they are used. More school inventories are more subjected to
inventory turnover as the follow academic semesters which are shorter compared to
company’s operational year. There are various school inventories that are used either to
store and record academic data or even items present within a particular school area.
This post contains a selection of different school inventory examples and templates
which you may use as guidelines in creating school inventories that is usable in a lot of
academic processes. The researchers decided to came up with a project proposal
Inventory Management Control System of SHS H.E Laboratory with the used of mobile
application called FREE INVENTORY. This is to easily monitor the different kind of tools
and equipment on Home Economics Laboratory as features. This will help Laboratory
custodian to save time in doing inventory.

Explanation of The Problem

The researchers target location is SHS H.E Laboratory at Senior High School
Department in Sta.Catalina National High School. To help the faculties and students
make their inventories more faster and easier. So that they have easy access to the

tools and equipments on the H.E Laboratory. The researchers conduct this project

proposal to maintain the proper arrangement and management.

Objectives

To easily identify the different tools and equipment at H.E Laboratory


To know the number of tools and equipment available at H.E Laboratory
To organized and manage the tools and equipment at H.E Laboratory

Purpose of the Project

The main purpose of this study is to provide convenience in finding and getting the
tools. This paper supports to have an appropriate management of tools and equipment.
In the said laboratory. Also, to help the students, faculties and school personnels to
distinguish the differences of the tools. Another, is to have an improvise application that
is competent in the modern world system nowadays.

Theory

Laboratory Inventory Management guide managing inventory in the laboratory


can be a big task. Although it can be easily forgotten about it remains one of the single
most effective ways to reduce costs and improve productively. No matter the size of
your laboratory, controlling inventory is the one of the most important things you can do
to make everything run smoothly. Monitoring consumable supplies laboratory
equipment. And instruments can be a big task. But doing so efficiently will increase

productively and reduce costs. Stretching your laboratory budget further and improving

efficiency can be reality with some simple or yet creative tips.

According to Ashe-Edmunds S. Large companies use a variety of inventory


control theories and mathematical formulas to help them optimize the production and
storage of many thousands of units of products and to help them minimize costs small-
business owners can use ideas from several inventory control methods to manage their
production and storage based on their cost-containment customers service needs.

Work Plan

The researchers wisely use their allowance in making this project proposal for
almost 3 weeks the researcher thought what would be the problem in the school that
needs an immediate solution. The researchers observe that it is the organizing of home
economics equipment placement is just about anywhere which is why it is prone to
either loss, misplacement or steal with those who have bad interest. Identifying this
problem that need an immediate solution. The first step that the researcher did was to
researching they found an application name Free Inventory is an online application.
After 1 week we created a letter for Senior High School H.E Laboratory to conduct the
implementation of our project proposal. The coordinator easily accepts our letter. Next
day the researcher went go to the Senior High School HE. Laboratory and started to list
down the specification, location and the number of tools and equipment in H.E.
Laboratory. After the researcher get of equipment, the researcher next step is use the
application and input all of the materials. Senior High School Coordinator tried the app
and upon using it she finds out that it help them to manage the different tools and
equipment at Sta. Catalina National High School SHS H.E Laboratory.

Result and discussion

The respondents stated that the counting and recording of equipment in home
economics laboratory using the application made it much easier. The identification of
tools and equipment became much more comfortable than by sorting it out using
manual recording. Less paper works also became a feature of this application making it

more convenient.

Conclusion

Therefore the researchers concluded that the inventory management became


more simple and feasible compare to manual recording of tools and equipment. It is a
promising technology that can be used not only by the school’s home economics
laboratory but also by other school’s laboratory which has a problem of sorting
organizing and counting of materials.

Recommendation

The following recommendations are formulated based on the result and finding of
the project proposal.

 For Teachers- Use the application (Free Inventory) for electronic recording of
equipment in the laboratory.
 For School- Device a school action plan that generally excusing on the use of
electronic inventory for proper sorting and organizing of laboratory equipment.
 For Future Researchers
- Used the finding and results of this project proposal for further research.
- Develop their own application for counting laboratory equipment.
