BOOK LAUNCHING EVENT 2020

We would like to ask Encik Mohd Saat Bin Abas, the Director of IPG Kampus Tuanku Bainun
to stay awhile for the opening ceremony of our Book Launching Event 2020.

Malaysia is a multiracial country, a country for all Malaysians. Chinese New Year
Celebration is one of the manifestation of our harmonious life. I believe that every single one
of us know more than a language.

So here, as a present for Chinese New Year celebration, students from 8 PISMP TESL have
managed to produce a book, entitled “Malaysian Second Language Learner Stories”. It is a
collection of learning journeys of Malaysians from various cultural backgrounds in learning a
second language. Each story is a personal journey of learning and experiences encountered
by the learners in different corners of Malaysia, some in urban, sub-urban, others in rather
rural settings. Despite individual differences, these stories foreground the key influencers in
learning a second language in multilingual Malaysia.

Without ado, I would like to invite Miss Zuriati Binti Sabaruddin, the Head of English
Language Department to accompany Encik Mohd Saat Bin Abas, to officiate this Book
Launching Event.

Now, let us enjoy the gimic which is prepared by the students.

Moving on, I would like to invite Encik Mohd Saat Bin Abas, the Director of IPG Kampus
Tuanku Bainun to give away the certificate of the publication of the book to the
representative from 8 PISMP students.
