welding machines. The examination calibration and validation of the welding machines
shall be performed as per Calibration Schedule.

2. SEQUENCE OF PROCESS:

a. Welding machines are calibrated as per BS EN 50504 standard.

b. The validation accuracies and acceptance criteria shall be as per clause 4, Table 1 of BS

EN 50504.

c. Remove the power supply and clean the welding machine properly before testing.

d. Ensure that, the welding cables and electric cables are free from any defect.

e. Ensure that, the Current and voltage reading gauges are clear and free from damage.

f. Determine the working range of welding machine.

g. Connect the power supply of welding machine.

h. Select the suitable welding consumable.

i. Set the ampere or voltage range as per type of welding machines.

j. For measurement of current/voltage, use reference clamp meter.

k. Use proper holding clamp if necessary.

l. Start welding, clamp the meter on wire and note down the reading.

m. Change selector switch positions for other ampere/voltage ranges and note down the

readings.

n. Tabulated the indicated values and standard reference values.

o. The tolerance of the machine shall be as per Table 1 of BS EN 50504.

p. The equipment is the categorized under pas / fail criteria as per validation results
