BREAK-UP OF PANGAEA

I. Objective: To find out how Pangaea broke apart.


II. Materials:
o Old newspaper
o Scissors
o White paper
o World map
o Diagram of Pangaea (from a book or from the internet)
o Light colored cartolina

III. Procedure:
1. Cut out the seven continents in your diagram and place it in a cartolina. Fit them
according to their arrangement on your reference.
2. Study the world map and move the cut outs to its place on the map. Study and record
the direction each piece is moved.
