You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para
las descripciones. La primera ha sido hecha como ejemplo.

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand of
visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Time’s Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is
93 meters tall. The statue is
New York (USA) – The Statue of Liberty
located on Liberty Island in
the Hudson River.

Rome (Italy) – Saint Peter’s Square
Sydney (Australia) – The Sydney Opera
House
Edinburgh (Scotland) – Edinburgh Castle
Saint peter’s square is located in
vatican city at the feet of st
peter’s basilica.
It houses over 300000 people.
You can see into this structure
the obelisk and the two
fountains.
In this picture you can see this

Sydney Opera House, located in
the bay of Sydney Harbour, It
hosts 3,000 events event year,
with an annual audience of 2
million, along with 200,000
people who take a guided tour of
the building. In this picture you
can see a structure that is

580 concrete piers sunk up to 25
metres below sea level. It was
opened in 1973
Edinburgh is the capital city of
Scotland. Edinburgh Castle is a
historic fortress which dominates
the skyline of the city of
Edinburgh, Scotland, from its
position on the Castle Rock.
There has been a royal castle on
the rock since at least the reign
of David I in the 12th century. In
this picture you can see a old
castle and also you can to
visualize from its terrace a
beautiful landscape in the
turquoise see and Green hills
 The burj khalifa is located in the
most popular city in Dubay in the
Arabian Desert.
This famous construction began
in 2004 and it was complete in
2009, its grand opening was in
2010.
Its count with 2 viewpoints where
you can contemplate the city
with a spectacular views.
