For Mess Manager
1. Concurrent Screening of Mess Staff for checklist of symptoms given by Dispensary.
2. Referral of Mess Staff with symptoms to Dispensary and assuring certain dignified sustenance amount (50% of Basic wages plus D.A) till treatment goes on (if any) or upto maximum 7 days whichever is less. Beyond 7 days refer to ESIC Dispensary in Mussoorie or ESIC hospital in Dehradun. 3. Manager Accounts needs to ensure that every mess staff has ESI card and is aware about his/her entitlements for availing medical benefits. 4. Roster duties of Mess Supervisor (shiftwise) to inspect personal hygiene (nails, hairs, cleanliness etc.) on daily basis, regular and proper hand washing with soap after every one hour or earlier as required and screening of suspected mess staff. 5. Sanitizing work space in kitchen area regularly. Maintaining a clean work space. 6. Ensure mess staff drinks regular and adequate water to prevent dryness of throat. 7. Ensure vegetables and meat is properly cleaned, washed and cooked. Ensure handwashing before and after handling raw meat and vegetables. 8. Controlled movement of construction and renovation workers in mess. 9. Change linen and sanitize chairs regularly after every 2 days. 10. Chairs are to be placed atleast 0.5 m apart from each other, utilise extra tables and space inside the officers’ mess. Direct OTs and visitors to not to disturb the tables and chairs. 11. Remove Saunf and Mishri, use sachet mouth freshener instead. 12. Ensure proper attire of mess staff, sensitize them towards this issue, extend dispensary services free of cost to their family members also if they report any sign of illness for self or of their family members. 13. Issue travel advisory to mess staff to restraint from travelling outside. In emergent cases maintain proper travel records of mess staff. Regular filling of travel enquiry report by mess supervisor after weekly offs, weekend and any other leave availed. 14. Avoid entry of mess family members in mess (dining area, kitchen, store, bakery etc) for procuring items like bread, fruits etc. Instead put these stuffs at AN Jha or any other designated place outside officers’ mess for facilitating mess staff's family members. 15. Regular reinforcement of these health advisories to mess staff after every 3 days. 16. Provide full fruits or fruits and vegetable juices instead of cut fruits or salad. 17. Ensure 15 days of buffer stocking of dry ration and high shelf life vegetables. 18. 15 sets of Protective medical equipment like gloves, masks etc. to be provided by dispensary, are to be always present in mess manager's office. 19. All OTs to mandatory wash hands before entering the mess at toilets in mess foyer; Depute a mess staff at entry point to ensure its compliance; also ensure sanitation condition in these toilets, provision of hand wash and hand tissues/paper towels 20. Screen OTs found coughing and sneezing inside the Officers’ Mess. 21. Visitors to follow the same SOPs as OTs
