HEADINGS CONTENTS

 Introduce the author and the title (name of the author, title
INTRODUCTION (a study examined by…….., the article entitled ……… by
…… )
 What the article discusses or implies (According to the
article, it is stated that…….., the author seeks to address
the issue on…… )
 Main points and the goals (the author aims to
discuss/highlight ……………………..) *can be referred
from the objectives and research questions

BODY OF PARAGRAPHS  Who are the respondents (participants). Do the


POINT OF VIEW respondents suitable and appropriate in related with the
title?
 What research techniques(methodology) are used by the
author(s)?
 Is it clear how data has been collected? Reading this
section should provide you with a better idea of what was
actually done in the research as well as a clue into the
thinking of the researcher.
 What are your personal views/opinions about what you
read? Why do you think that way? (Highlight some
findings and give out your own opinion)
 You can also cite some statements and give your point of
view about the statement (E.g : Although the author has
some good points, his article is biased and contains some
misinterpretation of data…..)
 How does the article gives impact to you (E.g: This article
is very significant to the current issues happening in our
education system where students are…… )

CONCLUSION  Summarize the important findings of the study and point


out their significance to the general research area. They
might also point out avenues for future research based on
the findings of the study.
 Improvements/suggestions that can be done for the article
(E.g: This article can be improved if the author gives more
clarification on……. )
 (E.g : “ I am looking forward for future research which
highlight….”
