Option No. 1 (20 marks)

You may continue with the course project with actual data collection from the industry, if you do not have any
issues with the data collection. In this case DO NOT OPT for option no. 2

Option No. 2 (20 marks)

It’s a study based project with the same group members and the same weightage of the project. If you are not
going for option 1 then you may opt for any of the following 3 options and fulfill the rest of the requirement.

 Third Party Logistics Companies of Pakistan + 5 video interviews of logistics professionals

2- Top players and market share of each (1 page)
3- Local statistics and its comparison with global statistics (2 pages)
4- Major trends (global) (1 page)
5- Major initiatives taken in the past (1 page)
6- Major goals and vision i.e. long term plan or target (1 page)
7- Complete list of services being offered (2 pages)
8- List of major logistics related issues e.g. material handling, transportation,
distribution, warehousing, packaging, planning, forecasting,
9- Detail about inbound logistics (2 pages)
10- Detail about in-plant logistics (2 pages)
11- What are major process inputs and outputs? (1 page)
12- Details about outbound logistics (2 pages)
13- Lead time of every process along with the overall cycle time i.e. order cycle time (1 page)
14- Generating Table 1 for last 15 years
a. Turnover (PKR in millions) (1 page)
b. Average Capacity (e.g. tons per day for each category) (1 page)
c. Market share (%) of the local industry (1 page)
d. No. of employees associated with the industry (1 page)
e. Export revenue (PKR in millions) (1 page)

After choosing any one of the above logistical industries, you have to collect the following data from the respective
