To whom it may Concern:

This is a letter of recommendation for one of my former nursing students, Ms. Kristin Cabatingan. I
provided direct supervision for Ms. Cabatingan while she cared for patients in high acuity settings
as part of our Nur 470 high acuity course. As a student, Ms. Cabatingan was observed to be very
innovative, friendly, and flexible while she developed her critical thinking skills in a very
demanding acute care setting. The nurses who provided preceptorship to her submitted positive
feedback and saw her as a very caring and compassionate nursing student. She communicates well,
both verbally and in written form and seems to genuinely enjoy getting to know her patients and
their families. Her natural creativity enables her to provide thoughtful and innovative ways to
approach the care of her patients holistically. Additionally, she interacted well with the staff and
fellow nursing students.

Ms. Cabatingan demonstrated several strengths that will be to her advantage as she pursues a career
in nursing. She takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, is self-motivated, searches for
alternative methods to achieve an outcome, and takes seriously her position as a patient advocate.
Ms. Cabatingan also demonstrated personal integrity while performing her duties as a nursing
student, always coming prepared for class, participating in class discussions, and acting
professionally.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation. I genuinely believe that Ms.
Cabatingan will be a delightful asset wherever she may be employed, both professionally as a nurse,
but also as a caring and compassionate person. Please contact me should you have further
questions.

Sincerely,

Amy Winchester, MSN, RN
