To whom it may Concern:

This is a letter of recommendation for one of my former nursing preceptees, Kristin Cabatingan. In
the Spring of 2020, I had the pleasure of providing direct supervision in the clinical settings at
Banner University Medical Center, Tucson, AZ, Perioperative Unit, Operating room. During the
preceptorship, I found Kristin to be inquisitive and very intent on learning. Kristin was also very
attentive and made every effort to apply what she has learned in theory to her nursing practice at the
bedside. Patients and other staff members found her to be very compassionate and friendly. She also
displayed flexibility while she was developing her critical thinking skills in a very demanding acute
care setting.

For the demanding field of nursing, Ms. Cabatingan demonstrated several strengths that will be to
her advantage as she pursues a career in nursing. She proved to be very self-motivated and a quick
learner, asking for help when she needed it. She also investigated research-based methods for
delivering appropriate patient care and achieving positive patient outcomes, she took ownership for
her assigned responsibilities, and displayed an understanding of her role as a patient advocate
during all surgical procedures.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation. I genuinely believe that Kristin
Cabatingan will be an asset wherever she may be employed, not just as an astute professional nurse,
but as a caring and compassionate person. Please contact me should you have any further
questions.

Sincerely,

Yasir Altahan, BSN, RN
