Course: English Intensive A2

1. Topic of the class: Making new Friends.
2. Competence to develop: oral and writing competence.
3. Communicative objective:
 Students will be able to create follow up questions using WH questions.
 Students will be able to make new Friends through the use of different follow up
questions using present simple as their focal point.
 Students will be able to write about the different strategies that they apply to make
new Friends.
 Students will be able to read a text about meeting new friends implementing the
storage vocabulary.
4. Description of the learning activities:
 Students will have to complete the activities on the Cambridge Platform, unit number
one.
Lesson A: Getting to know you.
Lesson B: Things in common.
Lesson C: It’s cold tonight (Speaking).
Lesson D: Making small talk.
5. Evaluation activities:
 Oral: Students will get in pairs or groups of three to convey a role play in which they make a
new friend. This role play will be recorded in a video format and sent it to the teacher via
Cambridge platform.
 Written: Students will be asked to create a survey with follow up questions about the
strategies to approach someone and create a new friend. The surveys will be shared via
Google Drive.
